She is the Co-Founder of Lighthouse Missions Ministry Philippines.
The Story Behind Lighthouse

Back in December of 2004, we went to the Philippines to visit loved ones and friends whom we have not seen for more than a decade and also for our three children who were born in Canada to see our native land. During our first night in La Union, I cannot sleep, so I was just laying in bed. Suddenly, I thought I heard a voice saying, “go outside.” I couldn’t sleep anyway, so I went out of the room to the second floor balcony of the house that we have built there. It’s quiet all around and the sky was clear. I looked up and watch the stars. I’m always fascinated with the stars and I love watching them. And then I heard a voice again saying, “look around.” And I thought all I will see will be the mountains and the hills before me in the distance, and then the valley and the fields that are in it, and houses with fruit trees around it. But as I look around, the Lord impressed upon me the different needs that the people have not only in that area, but I believe is for the whole nation. I saw the need for salvation, the need to help the poor people especially the children, the need to support the local churches in the area of evangelism and bible training for the Pastors and making disciples who will share the Good News of salvation to the people, and the need to help the Pastors and their families financially. I wept when I saw all these needs for it was great. The next day, I shared this experience to my wife. And actually, it is in her heart already to do something for the Glory of God. We realize then that we went to the Philippines  for a holiday, but God has a Plan totally different to what we’ve planned. The trip became our first Mission Trip. We shared the Gospel to people, going house to house and praying with the people. We also organized a gathering in the compound where we were staying and preach the Gospel under a mango tree. We also shared our food to the people, sometimes bringing the food to peoples homes. And since its Christmas time, we gave gifts to the people. And we felt the Joy of the Lord as we are ministering to the people. The Lord also connected us to the Pastor of the Local Church and to the Principal of the Elementary School where Leonor graduated. Since 2004, we have been to the Philippines on multiple missions trips. Started a church in Isabela, partnered with four independent Churches; five in La Union area and one in Misamis Oriental in Mindanao. We have also started an outreach in San Felipe, Zambales that has now become a church and at an outreach in the La Union area. We registered the Ministry under the banner of Lighthouse Missions Ministry Philippines Inc. Our Dream is to go where the Lord leads us and “ Preach the Gospel to all people and making Disciples who will reach the world for Jesus.” All for the Glory of God.
